The North Shore Lions Club will be honoring three students who are graduating from Glen Cove High School in June 2024. Each student will receive a $1,000 monetary award and certificate of recognition. Awards will be based on the student’s past performance, i.e.: what they have achieved as a high school student.
1) North Shore Lions Club Scholarship for Community Service
Awarded to a deserving senior who has demonstrated the meaning of community service and has made a difference in the community as reflected in the Lions motto “We Serve”.
2) North Shore Lions Club Scholarship for Personal Achievement
Awarded to a deserving senior who has demonstrated personal achievement and success in one or more areas.
3) North Shore Lions Club Scholarship for Humanitarian Efforts
Awarded to a deserving senior who has been an inspiration by demonstrating a willingness to help others.
If you would like to be considered for any of these scholarships, please fill out the 2024 Lions Scholarship Applications form(s) and return them to the Glen Cove Youth Bureau, ATTN: Spiro K. Tsirkas, 128B Glen Street, Glen Cove, NY 11542 by May 1st. Winners will be notified in May and must be available to receive their scholarship at the Glen Cove City Hall Ceremony, followed by an evening reception to be announced.
Please note: The scholarships are available to 2024 Glen Cove High School graduates regardless of their future plans.
