Hi, I’m Jane Manister-Fein, a board member of the Friends of the Glen Cove Youth Bureau. For the past four summers, I’ve had the joy of volunteering with the Summer Youth Employment Program to design and paint murals with our talented young participants. Each year, I collaborate with Program Director Jacki Yonick to select a site and theme, creating designs that welcome all skill levels. This inclusive approach ensures every child can contribute, have fun, and take pride in beautifying Glen Cove, one mural at a time. The confidence in their eyes as they create is truly inspiring!
In 2024, we completed three stunning murals at the downtown parking garage. One of these projects was extra special—we partnered with the Glen Cove Senior Center, bringing together young and old for a meaningful collaboration that bridged generations.
